The Christian Service Society of the Bengal-Orissa-Bihar (Jharkhand) Baptist Convention (CSS–BOBBC) is a Christian, charitable, and service-oriented organization established to support and advance the mission and objectives of the Bengal-Orissa-Bihar (Jharkhand) Baptist Convention. The Society seeks to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and demonstrate His love through spiritual, educational, social, humanitarian, and community development ministries. Our Principal Aims and Objectives 1.To proclaim the Gospel To proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and to promote Christian faith, worship, discipleship, evangelism, and mission. 2.To strengthen churches To unite, encourage, and strengthen churches associated with the Convention and support their spiritual, pastoral, administrative, and missionary ministries. 3.To promote Christian unity To foster fellowship, cooperation, dialogue, and common witness among Baptist churches and with other Christian churches, ecumenical bodies, and Christian organizations in India and around the world. 4.To establish and strengthen churches To encourage the establishment and development of spiritually strong, self-supporting, self-governing, and mission-oriented churches in accordance with Christian principles and the pattern of the New Testament Church. 5.To promote education To establish, manage, support, and develop educational institutions and programmes for children, youth, and communities, with emphasis on quality education, character formation, and responsible citizenship. 6.To empower children, youth, and women To promote the dignity, rights, protection, participation, education, leadership, and capacity development of children, youth, and women, particularly among vulnerable and underserved communities. 7.To provide healthcare and humanitarian assistance To support healthcare, medical assistance, relief services, and other humanitarian programmes for people in need, irrespective of caste, creed, gender, social status, or background. 8.To promote community development To undertake programmes for the social, economic, educational, and sustainable development of rural, remote, marginalized, and underserved communities. 9.To respond to disasters and emergencies To provide relief, rehabilitation, and assistance to communities affected by natural disasters, emergencies, poverty, displacement, and other humanitarian crises. 10.To develop Christian leadership To provide training, mentoring, capacity building, and leadership development for pastors, church workers, youth, women, volunteers, and community leaders. 11.To promote social service and welfare To undertake charitable and welfare activities for the benefit of disadvantaged, vulnerable, and underserved persons and communities. 12.To protect human dignity and rights To promote awareness, dignity, equality, protection, and participation of vulnerable persons and to encourage communities to work for justice, peace, and social harmony. 13.To encourage mission partnerships To develop meaningful partnerships with churches, mission agencies, ecumenical organizations, educational institutions, healthcare institutions, government bodies, charitable organizations, donors, and other like-minded partners for the advancement of Christian service. 14.To promote capacity building To organize seminars, conferences, workshops, training programmes, publications, and other educational activities for the development of individuals, churches, institutions, and communities. 15.To preserve Christian heritage To preserve and strengthen the spiritual, historical, educational, and missionary heritage of the Convention and to encourage future generations to continue its ministry of faith and service. Our Commitment Through these aims and objectives, CSS–BOBBC seeks to bring together faith and action, evangelism and service, prayer and compassion, and Christian witness and community transformation. Our desire is to serve God faithfully, strengthen His Church, empower communities, and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through faith, hope, compassion, unity, and service. “Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

Daud Singh A Legacy of Faith and Service Over the decades, the Christian Service Society has been blessed with the dedicated leadership of successive Executive Secretaries who have contributed to the growth, ministry, administration, and service of the organization. From 1955 to the present, each Executive Secretary has played a significant role in carrying forward the Society's mission of Christian service, empowerment, education, social development, and care for communities in need. We gratefully remember those who have gone before us and honour their contribution to the ministry. We also pray for God's continued guidance, wisdom, and strength upon the present leadership as the Society moves forward in its mission and witness. “Thus far the LORD has helped us.” — 1 Samuel 7:12
